ROAD STORIES is a year-long creative reminiscence project. Bringing together stories and artefacts from the local area around Welshampton that are focused on the road. As well as the diverse, sometimes disparate, community of people, of all ages, who use it.
Over the year there will be a number of free workshops about the road past, present and future.
The stories will be uploaded to an online archive at
https://soundcloud.com/roadstories
and there will be a podcast available to all for free (coming soon…)
There will be opportunities for volunteers to get involved with recording the stories.
O yes… as part of the project we are also developing a very quirky sustainable vehicle in partnership with the Engineering department at Wrexham University
.
Road Stories is led by Ellen Edwin-Scott and supported by Joseph Schneider. And is generously supported by players of the People’s Postcode Lottery through an award by the Postcode Local Trust
